Project Summary
UAF will offer three special topics, academic short courses (one-credit) on transportation topics (either pre-construction or construction) and examine the effect of variations in methods. One Variation will be a technology mode, such as video conferencing, on-line pedagogy, electronic support of face-to-face, or other internet-based, synchronous presentations, such as elive or illuminate, other social media, and combinations of these. UAF faculty will start with a general review of methods and select three modes that appear most likely to meet the needs of the target class. Offer these three courses and survey the course from one campus to the DOT offices in another (PACtrans)state. Evaluate the technology and the administrative issues that enhance or diminish learning.
