Title: Design Considerations for Alaska Village Roads with Mixed Use
Abstract: This webinar will cover design philosophy and guidance for ultra-low-volume roads with less than 100 average daily trips (<100 ADT) as presented in the Alaska Village Roads Guide. Alaska village roads warrant special considerations in their design as they perform a variety of functions including: facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services; supporting community activities; and enabling construction or industrial operations. This guide provides several considerations to help designers match roadway function and design while maximizing safety, economic efficiency, and suitability for community needs.
