USDOT hosted a webinar on Preparing for Upcoming USDOT Discretionary Grant Opportunities on February 8, 2023. The webinar highlighted resources available to help potential grant applicants navigate USDOT funding opportunities. The session demonstrated some of the tools available on the DOT Navigator—the Department’s one-stop shop for technical assistance—including the upcoming funding opportunity calendar, tools for identifying Federal disadvantaged community areas, and which programs provide non-Federal match flexibility. The webinar also spotlighted several funding opportunities at USDOT that are currently accepting applications to expand transportation opportunities in urban, rural, and Tribal communities. 

The webinar recording and presentation slides (in English and in Spanish) are now available on the USDOT Navigator Webinars webpage. USDOT anticipates hosting similar webinars in the future and will update this webpage with information about upcoming webinars when the information is available.  

Upcoming Deadlines for Funding Opportunities 

• Applications for the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants are due February 28, 2023. 
• Applications for the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Areas of Persistent Poverty Program are due March 10, 2023. 

• Applications for the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Grant Program for projects located on the Northeast Corridor (FSP-NEC) are due on March 27, 2023. 
• Applications for the FRA’s Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Grant Program for projects not located on the Northeast Corridor (FSP-National) are due on April 21, 2023.
